July Announcements (Patreon)

HELLO!!!!

I hope all of you are well, and you are having a great summer/winter depending on where you are. I have a few things I wanted to bring up concerning the patreon, and I figured a little announcement would be the best way to do so. So grab a snack, sit tight, and let's do this.

Let's start with something of an elephant in the room: Twitter.

As some of you who are in the discord may know, I am currently shadowbanned on twitter. My reach has been abysmal, to the point where after asking a few folks to test out the tags I reside in, they haven't been able to find my content whatsoever. I'm taking a break from twitter, but I'm also trying to prepare for an exodus since twitter is currently sorta falling apart.

Over the next little while, I will be posting links to new socials if you so desire to follow them! And while this is by no means something you should feel obligated to do, I would very much appreciate if you could spread the word about my patreon page to anyone you think might be interested! It would mean a lot.

The next announcement sort of is adjacent to twitter. The matchbox, bottlecap, and micronaut tiers, starting today, will no longer have "early access" as a benefit. The reason behind this is because as I need to explore avenues outside of twitter while THAT gets sorted out, it's imperative that I am able to share previews of my work as soon as possible. I'm going to replace this benefit however! From now on, matchbox residents, bottlecap residents, and micronauts will have the opportunity to vote *twice* in polls. I hope that you understand, and that this trade off feels good!*

Next up is discord. Tomorrow at around 12EST, our discord will be undergoing some maintenance. Some topics will be removed, or moved around, and roles will be changing. Everything is a little messy right now, as I've been adding suggested threads as time has gone by, and I'd like for it to be more streamlined. The discord will of course still be usable the entire time, and the "lobby" channel will remain untouched--but consider this a heads up for you to preserve any texts or memories that may end up disappearing in the process!

By the middle-to-the-end of July, I plan to open up commission slots again. As my patrons you will be the first to know, and have first dibs on those commission slots.

And finally, not an announcement, so much as a sentiment. Thank you so, so much for being apart of this patreon. It has been more rewarding and fun than I could have anticipated and a huge part of that is because of you folks. You give me the drive to continue creating, and for that I am forever grateful. <3

* The content that will be previewed outside of the patreon will still be just that: previews. It’ll be watermarked still, it just won’t lag by a week as it did before.
