Thanks for reading! Was this a filler episode? Kinda! Did I have immense fun with it anyway? Yes! Will Greg ever recover emotionally? Maybe!

OK I have to ask why Lapis is still on the planet? It was established that she could make it to Homeworld on her own in the show that’s how she made to Earth in the first place. It’s not like either of them care about Jasper. If they’re willing to fuse to get away from the crystal gems then I think they could get along the same back to Homeworld or at least long enough to put Peridot on the moon or Mars if necessary. Then with Peridot out of the blast zone Lapis can get to Homeworld and send a ship to Peridot’s position when she gets there.

It was a topic that came up in the first episode of season 4. 👀 Lapis explained why she doesn't want to just go to Homeworld, even though she still could. She already got snagged by Jasper/Peridot once when she tried and now that she knows more about the situation, she thinks she'll get blamed and unfairly imprisoned again. She was already accused of being a Crystal Gem once, and she doesn't want a repeat 5000 years in jail. She's sticking with Peridot as proof of her innocence.
