Steven's instrument (Patreon)

This is a few sketches for an upcoming comic.

A lot of people have been eager to know whether I was going to get Steven into music at all. I wanted to give him a connection to music because, like the canon Steven, he IS musically inclined (but just doesn't know it). 

The ukulele feels like something specifically Canon-Steven-y, so I decided to forgo it. It speaks of Steven being raised by Greg (which our Steven doesn't) and it is also reminiscent of the fact that Greg and Rose are both represented by string instruments (guitar and violins respectively.)

I know it's cliche, but I really kept coming back to the idea of just giving Steven a piano/keyboard. It's a good introductory instrument, it's reminiscent of the fact that the Diamonds are repped by the Synth, and it's also... black and white! Haha.

Plus, with Steven's natural affluency for math, I feel like he would pick up on Music Theory with relative ease.
