Felix did feel down recently, had more free time because of the unpleasant events in his life, so he thought he’d try out whatever therapy they had in store for him.

He filled in the survey truthfully, sent it and did receive an answer in a span of 3 days. The company assured him that they have found a procedure to make his life brighter. Felix expected he would have to head to wherever their headquarters were, but instead he was informed to await one of their workers at his home. He admired the company for being so flexible and compassionate towards their customers.

Knocking on the door brought Felix’s attention from computer. He ran up to the door and opened them knowing who to expect. Behind the door stood a corporately dressed woman with a positive attitude and expression. “Welcome, please come in…” – Felix said. “Greetings Felix, thank you for trusting our services.” – The woman said and they both went inside. Felix lead her to his living room and asked her if she wanted coffee. “Uhm, I’m sorry. With all due respect, I’m not sure what to expect of your services. I’m recently going through financial problems and well my depression is resurfacing. Your advertisement seemed like a personal coach offer. Is that what your company offers?” – He asked the woman.

She chuckled and took out some documents from her bag. “I don’t blame you for not guessing correctly. The advertisement wasn’t very specific, but it was honest with what little information it provided. We do help people in need. People who are tired of living in human confinements, obligations, shallow routines, bureaucratic complexities etc. etc. Like you…” – She said and placed some document and a pen on the table. Felix was getting confused and a tad worried, but deep down he realised that she was right. Maybe he wasn’t depressed, maybe he just wanted to change his life meaningfully.

She smiled as if she has read his mind. “I’m not going to confuse you further. What we do specifically is we fix people’s problems by turning them into animals. Of course they are free to choose the species. Even though physically they become complete animals, our customers never lose minds – That’s a guarantee. And that’s just one part of the so called procedure. Every customer is taken care of according to their needs and chosen animal species. Not to mention side benefits like being a zoo mascot, a cute pet or a professional reproducer in some cases – Saving endangered species. If nothing about this makes you eager to proceed I completely understand and respect that, but if you’d like to give your luck a chance sign this document.” – The company worker explained.

Felix was lost in thoughts at this point. Changing into some kind of an animal sounded like a lot, but since he would be able to cherish it with his mind in tact it didn’t sound bad at all. The company worker heard all that and gave Felix several advices and ideas for his possible new life. “… Also judging by what you just said I think a red panda would suit you great. The woman checked the document and put it in her bag. “You chose the red panda and so you’ll become one…” – The woman said and started looking for something in her bag. Felix was still thinking about whether this was a good choice. “Uhm… So how long will I have to wait until the transformation procedure will be ready? When should I show up-“ – Felix muttered nervously, but stopped the second he saw the woman pull out a syringe and fill it with some tiny capsule’s contents. “When? Now!” – She chuckled and injected Felix with the serum before he managed to back away.

“Ow! Oh God, oh God… Why did you jab me with that thing? Will I change NOW?! This wasn’t in the contract!” – Felix staggered back from the woman as he started feeling dizzy from the serum entering his bloodstream and spreading through it rapidly. The woman stood up and started cleaning up the syringe with some specialistic equipment she had with herself. “Correct, this wasn’t in the contract. We didn’t agree when you’d change. Today is as good as any day.” – She said without even glancing at Felix, she seemed to know what to expect. Felix heard that and just started shaking his head slowly in denial. “My close ones, my job and… Uh, this is so f-freaky…” – Felix was once again interrupted, this time by the changes as they started working on his body.

Felix felt his entire body cramp and start to shrink altogether. His clothes were getting too big for him. His body parts proportions slowly started to alter – His torso extended slightly while his limbs shortened a bit. He stared at his hands as they morphed in the plain sight. He moved his fingers for a while, but soon stopped when they became less flexible. They contorted and shrank back into his hands a bit leaving stubby digits unable to grip most objects, but good for grabbing branches and climbing. As if on cue his fingernails started growing out longer and sharper into thin, sharp claws. Instead of paw pads like those of a bear Felix stared as dense black fur started sprouting all over his new paws.

“My hands…! Maybe I can at least slow down the changes… They’re happening too fast!” – Felix cried out frightened as he flailed his arms frantically. “Don’t fight the changes. Even if I’d have a reverse serum with me I wouldn’t be able to change you back now that you’re still transforming. Just endure the changes calmly and remember what I said – Think about the positive aspects of your new life!” – The woman said and approached him. Felix trembled in his baggy clothing at the sight of the woman that caused his changes and who was towering above him by now. Felix only now realised how much shrinkage he had to undergo to become red panda-sized.

His entire body itched and he felt fur cover it whole slowly but surely. The woman sighed and pulled Felix’s shirt off him. Felix managed to grab the shirt with his clawed paws, but the woman forcefully took it away from him leaving his upper body naked. Except it wasn’t since it was entirely covered in short red and black fur which kept extending and getting denser. Felix stared at down at himself stunned – The sole fact he was so furry felt alien to him and it was just the beginning.

Whether he had fur or not he didn’t want to allow the woman to just undress him completely. He tried to run away from her, but tripped over his pants and fallen onto all fours with a thud. This just allowed the woman to take the rest of his clothes off him. “Nooo-ho… Why…?!” – Felix mourned his loss, but his attention was quickly focused on the changes themselves and not worrying. He was so small already – Slightly bigger than a housecat. His frame looking inhuman and the skeleton being altered further rapidly into a more feral stance.

He felt his feet crunch and reform into paws similar to those his hands became. He felt his ankles become somewhat more bendable to help him climb trees. His feet collapsed on themselves and became more rounder and more compact in shape as they fully turned into a pair of paws. His toenails erupted into sharp claws. The changes travelled upwards in his legs and arms making them more adapted for quadrupedal movement.

Felix felt his head’s features readjust for his new species. His ears migrated atop of his shifting head and became triangular-shaped and furry. His eyes turned deep brown and his pupils stretched vertically a bit. He stared cross eyed as his nose changed in texture as it became moister and more sensitive. It tilted forwards as his face pushed out into a blunt snout. Inside his mouth Felix felt his tongue lengthen, thin down and his teeth sharpen and turn into fangs. His human hair was replaced with red panda’s iconic fur and with that his entire body was covered in fur now. Thin whiskers grew out of his cheeks.

Felix panted hard already exhausted of his transformation. Despite that he tried to stay positive about his drastic change of life perspective. “Ph- Phrahnda… Rrr…” – He tried to speak, but it was almost impossible at this point. Since he was keeping his mind he was able to make his new voice sound like something resembling human speech, but that was changing along with his neck and vocal chords right now. “Technically red pandas are more akin to racoons than pandas, but you’re becoming cute nonetheless!” – The woman said and stroked the fur between Felix’s ears. He growled in pleasure and felt his spine start to tingle.

He arched his back slightly as he felt a pressure rise in his tailbone. He turned his head back just in time to see his tailbone elongate and turn into a stubby tail. Luckily it quickly gained length, became more prehensile and natural-appearing. With a few more growth surges it reached its final impressive length which would help Felix balance his weight mostly while climbing. The tail got encompassed in red fur with several brown fur rings.

Felix gritted his fangs when he felt his muzzle push out further and give him a red panda’s visage. Minor changes appeared all over his body such as his torso slimming out and becoming more flexible. His pelvis snapped almost painlessly and locked him in a mostly feral posture. There was also a strange warmth radiating from his groin which meant that it too changed to fit his new species, but luckily his shame was spared because fluffy fur covered everything there. With that his changes ended. Few minutes were enough to change a man into a nonmorphic and dizzy red panda.

“It’s over little one, don’t worry. Do you mind if I pet you some more? You’re so cute! I’m sure you’ll like your new life at the zoo.” – The woman said and lifted Felix up. Which made him more dizzy, but at the same time what she said and how she treated him made him feel so wholesome. He already enjoyed being a red panda and the thoughts of his altered future brightened up his mood. He purred contently as the woman petted him. Soon the two of them left Felix’s past home and headed towards the local zoo. The enigmatic company arranged everything for Felix so his close ones wouldn’t worry about him. Besides Felix was still left with a choice of changing back when he’d feel the need to, but frankly he felt better as a cute red panda than he ever did as a human…
