BOHICA News! The Latest and Greatest. (Patreon)

Time for another quick news update!

First of all, welcome new (and returning) members. Aaron Feltman is among us once again, and Splatman joins David Bennett, Savannah Troxell, Wayne Gilcoine, and The Brothers Moogk-Soulis as free members! 

So, some updates:

I currently have BOHICA Blues comics posted all the way through February and hope to have one ready for March very soon. WIP Wednesdays are already loaded up (you just saw one a couple days ago) and I may be able to get a video in soon as well. 

I am trying to front-load as many comics as possible because after returning from my Army training, I am going to go on vacation for a bit sometime in March. I'm trying to maximize my time before I get sent away to Kosovo later at the end of the summer. 

CHARACTER PAGE UPDATES!

The Character page at the website has been updated! I added a lot of characters that have joined the cast, such as Emma O'Neil, Ken Specter, Troy Saltee, Shania Jensens, Chloe Patterson, and a couple others. I also added the years that the characters are active, for example Joe is active from 2013 to the Present Day, while Some characters are no longer active after 2016 and 2020... while others just joined recently. In the meantime, I am also working on the following:

Oodles o' Doodles! --I have almost a whole notebook full of doodles that will be scanned in and loaded, probably well into the summer. I already have doodles loaded through the beginning of April, so I am well ahead on that.

More Comic Scripts-- One thing about going to Army training, I walk away with a lot of material for new comics, so I will begin the process of committing those to paper. 

The Cover to Book #5-- Book #4 is almost ready to publish and so I need to show a preview of the cover to book #5! That will be available soon; it is currently in the development & preliminary inking phase. 

A new BOHICA Blues: KFOR Banner-- A new banner for the various pages, such as Facebook, Patreon, and others. It will feature Juni on duty in Kosovo with her (temporary) new unit. In fact, I have a sample piece of it available below:

--Still working on it but I will probably be able to make a video of its final process. 

This is a super busy year for me with a lot of military training, my day job, and some vacation time worked into the mix before I go. However, I should be able to stay on top of things since a lot of my Patreon content is stuff I have to draw anyway as part of the process of producing the comic-- the "WIP Wednesdays" and occasional video are just part of the comics. 

Unfortunately this does mean that my other projects will be in very slow motion. I'm not going to abandon Empires or the still-unnamed Wolf Project, but they are going to be progressing at a snail's pace in the background. Still, I'll be doing some development work on them which will be posted as they manifest themselves. A lot of the Wolf Project will just be reading the books I Mentioned in the last news update, so really just research.
