Ongoing Projects (Patreon)

I'll share some ongoing projects this Monday instead of Doodles. Doodles will be back! 

Above is the slowly evolving colorization of one of my Star Wars fanfic characters, the Queen of Naboo who was elected from a pro-Imperial political party. As mentioned before the character is based on the appearance of another character, Claudia Donovan of Warehouse 13... played by the actor Alison Scagliotti. 

In this picture I have colored in the eyebrows and begun to experiment with shadows and highlights on her skin. One of the things I've always done with my shading on characters skin is to just lasso off an area and coat it with a dark grey at about 8% to 10% opacity. But that just adds a sort of grey pallor to the skin, and I need to incorporate some reds because that actually makes it more realistic. So I'm experimenting with first a red tone and then a grey tone mixed together and see where that goes. So far I like the results! 

My next Patreon-Exclusive Original Comic will be "One Night AT the Dog Bar" and will feature my retired Military Working Dogs, Sadie & Butter. This is the background I have worked up for them. I'm experimenting with some new techniques for this, too.
