BOHICA News! First of 2021! (Patreon)

I haven't done a BOHICA News for a few weeks, so I figured it's about time. First I'd like to publicly thank and acknowledge all my Patreon subscribers for their support! Thanks to them, I have been able to meet a number of expenses the last year, all related to the website and art projects. Twice in 2020 I needed tech support to clean up some wonky database issues (shout out to Geeks Worldwide for their input) and of course this year was the year my webhost demanded their tribute  (I have to come up with just under $600.00 every three years to keep the BOHICA Blues webcomic up and running). 

Patreon subscribership continues to grow, so please consider helping out. Every little bit helps and you get access to just under 2,000 unique images posted for the various rewards tiers! 

Patreon support means a lot to me because 100% of it goes to fund art, art supplies, webhosting, tech support, and hopefully in the near future, payment to other artists in the future to expand into more projects. None of this goes to pizza and beer for myself, but it gets cycled back into comics and stories to share with the world. 

On Patreon Now: Today, a new BOHICA Blues comic posted early, which won't post on the main page until the 20th. Another new BOHICA Blues comic will post to Patreon on the 22nd, which will later post publicly on the 30th. There has also been a number of other comics, doodles, and stuff posted this month, with more to come. My Patreon page tends to be pretty active.

Starting in 2021: This year, I will start posting unique Patreon-only comics that are unrelated (or in some cases, partially related) to BOHICA Blues. 

Sometime this year, two new BOHICA Blues trade paperbacks will be produced. At least one, "BOHICA Blues: Line of Departure" should be printed by Summer, with the next one in the series, "BOHICA Blues: Fallujah" coming hopefully later in the year (I'm going to try for a Holiday Season release, finances depending).

Also, I have scanned and begun to trim and remaster pages from my old science-fiction comic "Empires: The Ace of Spades (and) Morrigan's War" for a potential limited re-release. This is in preparation to the eventual reboot of my science-fiction action-adventure series "Empires" with a new look. If you're thirsty for some original new sci-fi, and the old franchises are starting to seem a bit worn or recycled, then you may like what I have in mind. 

Other projects I have mentioned in the past are still in consideration, but simmer on the back burners. 

The Sword & Sorcery Fantasy comic has the origin chapter scripted and some artist's impressions done, but I am still waiting on some more. 

The Wolf Project basically needs some organizing and editing; for that I just need a lot of uninterrupted time. 

The "Empires" Reboot mentioned above is having an alphabet developed for it, but the main story is pretty much laid out and ready. Again, time and finances are the resources in the shortest supply. 

Meanwhile, some old source material for "Empires", it it's rebooted form with the all-alien cast, is being posted at Patreon-- join as a subscriber to see it!

That's all for now; as you can see a lot is going on. All in all, my Patreon subscribers helped make 2020 not so bad, at least art-wise, and your support during that year is very much appreciated. I hope we can get even more accomplished together this year!
