BOHICA NEWS! New Patreon Recruits (and more)! (Patreon)

Hello!

As you can see, even more new recruits have joined the 213th Battalion on Patreon! This is just in time, too, since the comic is now having an influx of new people coming in as "fills" so it is easy to bring in new people. As of today, though, the end of April 2019, all the slots for Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant are now filled, so the chances to get a personal character made are, unfortunately, closed. 

New Recruits Chad Quinlan, Jeffrey, and Paul Brooks-- check your Messages for your welcome letters and let me know about characters you'd like. Chad, I sent you a message earlier but did not hear back; let me know if I need to contact you through a different means.

Just because the Platoon Sergeant and 1st Sergeant slots are taken doesn't mean that the rewards of Sergeant, Specialist or Private are to sneeze at. There's a lot going on at those levels. Actually, "Sergeant" is a pretty good "bang for the buck" since you get to see the original "BOHICA Blues Downrange!" tales from the actual deployment as well as Classic Comics that include whole, complete graphic novel stories from years past.

And on that subject... I need to issue an apology since I messed up something a month back with regards to the "Empires" story being posted in "Classic Comics". I mixed up Book 2 and Book 3!

Years ago I had a limited run of copies of these books made at Kinko's Copies (that's how long ago it was: Kinko's was still in business) and I didn't realize this but when they put the originals back in the box they put Book 3 ahead of Book 2.

When I started posting at the beginning of April, I didn't realize this-- I have not pulled these stories out and looked at them since, well... since Kinko's went out of business (they got bought by FedEx and are now FedEx Office).  I figured something was off since I didn't think that certain characters had showed up so early, but, oh well, I went in and double-checked and realized my mistake. 

I'm going to go back and delete the chapters I posted this month since they are from Book 3 and we are supposed to be on Book 2. If someone goes back and reads everything in order, I don't want it to be confusing. I will re-post those chapters when I reach their correct order in sequence; hopefully that will not confuse the issue too much.

In other news I have shared some of my future projects with my Platoon Sergeants and above; I'll post a single sample here just to spread the joy a bit.
