I doodle even when I am downrange on military exercises! How crazy is that?

Above, a comic I did on behalf of a friend of mine, who was one of those "man behind the curtain" types that made everything happen, of course without any recognition or credit.

Another comic I did for a colleague at the time, who likened her job to "herding cats".

 

"TOP SMASH!" The senior sergeant, or 1st Sergeant, of an Army unit is frequently referred to as "Top". Our "Top" went into a frustrated rage one day and flipped over a desk with a laptop computer in it, causing some damage he was billed for. It was therefore in that spirit I gave him this comic.

We had two soldiers that were partnered with each other every year for Annual Training. They actually did not really get along, but the "Brokeback Mountain" reference is therefore that much more hilarious for those that knew them.

I did this comic -- a remake of a BOHICA Blues comic that appeared in both the original Iraq series and the full-color webcomic version-- for our downrange newspaper once.
