The future of Mango3D, 2023 and beyond (Update) (Patreon)
Content
First of all, I just want to thank you for all the beautiful comments you left on my last post three months ago, I read all of them and I'm very grateful for your kind words.
I didn't reply to any comments because I wanted to wait until I had good news before talking about this again, and guess what, I finally have some good news.
Huge Health Improvement, Both Physically and Mentally.
For the last 3 months I have been exercising diligently and consistently, only resting on Sundays, that has been my number one priority, I have also been eating very clean, and the results are incredible, no more soreness, no more anxiety, and no more negative thoughts. The only downside to all of this is that now I have this weird obsession with gym equipment.
Collaborations
I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, I don't want to talk too soon but I don't think 2022 will end without me delivering all the collaborations. I'm crossing my fingers on that.
Changes to Patreon Rewards in 2023
I've been thinking about it a lot, and the changes might be even more drastic than I thought, for example I've been considering ditching all the Level 3, Level 4, and Level 5 tiers entirely and instead posting 5 daily pics for Level 2, that would mean that the highest tier of my Patreon would be only $5 usd.
That's going to be a massive hit for sure when it comes to revenue, but I don't really care, because I have a vision of what the future of my content is going to be, and it's awesome, and fun, and complicated, and it's going to require a tremendous amount of learning, and focus and discipline, and consistency... and all the struggle that makes living exciting.
Animation is The Future of Mango3D
If there's one skill set I want to master before I die, it's 3D animation, I think it's one of those things you can never be good enough at, and that's my kind of shit.
No, I don't want to make janky five second loops of two characters hitting each other, I want to tell a story, I want to learn more than just animation, I want to learn about cinematography, audio production, VFX, everything that can help me create a product that I can be proud of. I just want to make cool stuff.
Conclusion
I'm here to stay, and yes, I have big plans for the future, but learning everything I need will take me years, besides, it's not just learning, I need to practice too, so I'm thinking... 5 or 6 years in the best case scenario, that is more than enough time to finish all the projects I have currently going. So if all goes well, there will be Mango3D for quite a while.
