Hey y’all!

(Warning: Excessive use of quotation marks ahead.)

For the purposes of a woo role play, I’m creating a fictional crystal healing technique that involves holding a stone over various points on the body and tapping it with a small hammer. The conceit I’m developing draws a comparison to the way that magnets can repel each other, and claims that striking a gemstone with a properly “charged” hammer will cause the stone’s energy to “spike” in the opposing direction, briefly propelling the spike into the person’s body as a kind of alternative acupuncture.

Basically, it’s a fancy excuse to simulate making satisfying tapping sounds all over your body.

QUESTION: Is there anyone with an appreciation for creative etymology who’d like to help me brainstorm ideas for this technique? The two best ideas I’ve come up with so far are “vitapuncture” and “pneumapuncture”, but I don’t love them enough to settle on one of those yet.

Any other ideas? (Also, if you particularly like vitapuncture or pneumapuncture, feel free to weigh in as well!)

Love,

JB

There is an actual alternative to acupuncture called acupressure (gently pressing or hovering over points instead of using needles), so I would use something like acupulsing ?

maybe the tap on the gem causes a psychic wave to go out toward the desired spot, resulting in an echo that you can sense as the practitioner but also producing a small therapeutic effect. i could enjoy a bit of gemping :)
