Calling all ASMR content creators! (Patreon)

I'm hoping you will join me and your other fellow ASMR artists in doing something you're already awesome at to help some really amazing kids! 

Participating artists include: ASMR Glow, ASMR Zeitgeist, Caroline ASMR, Sophie Michelle ASMR, Matty Tingles, Gwen Gwiz, Hermetic Kitten, IndigoStars, TheOneLilium, ASMR Alysaa, Little Dove, Lune Innate, Queen of Serene, Sasha ASMR, Yvette ASMR, and Somni Rosae .

Last year, approximately 50 different ASMR content creators came together and raised almost $18k for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. This year, I'm excited to announce that we're fundraising for a nonprofit that's ALSO another YouTube channel! Special Books by Special Kids (SBSK) promotes empathy and acceptance for individuals who are neurodiverse or have other unique diagnoses. You can help in two ways: by donating a video, and/or by promoting the fundraiser on your channel and social media outlets!

I'll include all the details I can think of below, but please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions! The best way to reach me is via email (jellybeangreenasmr@gmail.com), but please be patient as we've always been lucky enough to have a lot of interest.

THE NONPROFIT:

SBSK works to normalize the diversity of the human condition by showcasing video interviews with individuals (mostly children) who have unique diagnoses. Founder Chris Ulmer and Executive Director Alyssa Porter produce content meant to increase the visibility of many who might otherwise suffer from isolation and misunderstanding. The individual and family interviews on SBSK give viewers the precious double gift of a window into these people's lives, and an opportunity to have valuable conversations about topics that viewers might never have thought of (or might have just been too shy to ask).

HOW THE FUNDRAISER WORKS:

The fundraiser will go live on the crowdfunding platform Crowdrise on NOVEMBER 2nd. Viewers can donate any amount (though Crowdrise requires a $10 minimum). Within 24 hours of donating, donors will receive a link to a special SECRET playlist filled with ASMR videos that have been made especially for the fundraiser.

DONATING A VIDEO:

Donating is simple. Record an ASMR video and upload it to your channel as usual, making sure that the video is *unlisted* and *non-monetized*. Then email me the link and I'll add it to the playlist! I'm hoping to have many submissions BEFORE the November 2nd launch date, but artists are still welcome to contribute after that point. If you'll be submitting AFTER November 2nd, just let me know so I can keep you in the loop!

~*~Content Guidelines~*~

Video length and content is up to you, with a few requests:

1. Your submission should be an ASMR video.

2. At least 5 minutes long, please.

3. Videos do not have to adhere to any specific theme, though themed videos are welcome! Appropriate themes might include reading softly from a children's book, or talking about your own experiences with neurodiversity, for example.

4. While I have deep respect for the diversity of ASMR content on YouTube, I do ask that artists be mindful of the fact that this is a fundraiser for kids. Triggers, scenarios, and language that is as G-rated as possible is greatly appreciated.

Otherwise, your submissions may be as long or short, as creative or as simple as you'd like! Feel free to run any ideas by me if you're unsure.

PROMOTING THE FUNDRAISER:

If you can't donate a video for any reason, I ask you to consider making a commitment to promote the fundraiser. Let me know if you're interested in promotion only, and I'll make sure that you receive relevant updates!

Each year I make a brief video about the fundraiser and make it available for download via Google Drive. Artists are welcome to download the video and publish it (in full or in part) on their own channels. Of course, it's perfectly fine to make your own promotional video instead! Want to film your own personal introduction and then edit my video on to the end? That's great too!

PLEASE NOTE:

1. This ASMR fundraiser will have its own, unique page on Crowdrise, and will not be available to viewers until November 2nd. Please do not promote the fundraiser before then, as we've had a few well-meaning viewers donate early through other links and then not get the perk (since we have no way to track that).

2. ALL ASMRtists are welcome to join, even if your channel is "small" or just starting out. 

3. This fundraiser is NOT "invite only". I try to invite as many artists as I can directly, but each year my email inevitably misses artists who wish to be included. PLEASE feel free to contact me (jellybeangreenasmr@gmail.com) if you want to be involved!
