He has claim to the throne due to being born before she, just like the other older brother & that 1 older sister (1st princess by definition). Asura has perfectly legal polygamy & all that, it's actually common enough among the peerage. The more higher ranking you are, the more degenerate you are. Hell ALL members of the Royal Family are Bi without exception, which makes sense given how degenerate the High-ranking noble clans are as well (Greyrats are pretty damn high-ranking, all 4 of the clans basically encircle the Royal Capital in different cardinal direction regions. The Boreas region for example, is the 1st line of defense for any invasion (rare) to Asura Kingdom. One of the regions is rly specced on commerce too, so they each specialize in various power-generating fields in a sense), so you'd have to be pretty damn degenerate yourself to govern them (especially since the highest ranked clans are your distant relatives over the centuries that Asura Kingdom has existed as it currently is, w/ intermarriage & all that common shit among high society)

Anriku

Makes sense. Doesn't matter if he's a bastard or not, got it. It didn't matter that Jon (shall not be named) was a bastard, so makes sense here, too. Sounds like a stable of degenerates. Rudy will fit right in. LMAO!

Skebaba

I mean that's literally why nobody rly was weirded out by Rudy in S1, because the Royal Palace inhabitants are even more degen than Rudy ever has been. Lilia even mentioned this in the LNs that Rudy is pretty much normal compared to the people inside the Royal Palace (so including Royals & high-ranking noble family representatives, usually either the Head of Clan or their trusted offspring or some such lives at/near the palace region itself, for day to day agenda related reasons since there's gonna be constant meetings etc among the Royals & Nobles of X ministerial etc positions, as well as reports from each clans' regions compiled by said representative from their own underlings as a collective etc), since she used to be Ariel's bodyguard when she was an infant/kindergartner, so she was basically fired cuz she suffered an injury from an assassin, causing the loss of perfect function on one of her legs, can't remember which one, basically forcing her to retire from sword usage despite being good enough as a Water God Style disciple to be hired by Asura Kingdom's Royal Family as bodyguards (Water God Style is the go-to primary spec for bodyguards etc underlings of nobility as far as the Big Three styles go, w/ secondary being Sword God if they want to diversify to a secondary style to mix shit up. Incidentally, for Assassins North God Style is the go-to, w/ Sword God being secondary, and for Adventurers etc the most common combo is Sword God & secondary North God Style. As mentioned in S1, Rudy's dad is mid-tier in all 3, which makes him basically a genius by most standards, w/ him only being relatively low-ranking (but still like one per 10k to 100k ppl, higher ratio if we account for him being similarly gifted in all 3 & not only 1 or 2, but this is because he's too lazy to properly train, he'd likely be able to increase in all 3 by at least a rank, probably not higher than that except maybe in w/e is his actual best default style based on his instincts etc naturally. So basically Paul's talent is wasted by him being a lazyass dude)

Slyphy's hair turned white because she completely exhausted her mana reserves beyond the last drop constantly casting magic trying to stop her fall on the way down. She would have been punished for trespassing if someone found out but there would have surely be different ways if Ariel only wanted to help her out without any ulterior motive than to permanently bind her to the palace and make her her servant and bodyguard.

Anriku

Right. So, Ariel used it to her advantage for her own personal reasons. Gotcha. That makes sense on the hair changing color, but I wonder if fear/shock played a role in it, too.

alright episode 0, not the biggest fan of Mushoku, but i hope this season will be decent.

Ragon

I wonder if episode 1 is still comming out tomorow? Anyway great to see this! Happy they manage to pump a bit more extra lore into the show, woulda been harder if they went straight in.

Anriku

I think it's coming out next Sunday. Apparently this was done last minute. Idk how true that is, though. Happy we have MT back.

Watched it blind and then watched your reaction, and after the second time I think my theory about the “cakes” is right - none of the times was it about dessert. The little banter between Ariel and Luke about “pink and erect” vs. “inverted and ample”, clearly subtext about nipples, hence Derek chiding her about being crude. The second time with her brother, the cake “crowned” with berries and all, he was implying that she was after the throne - which of course was true. I just love that sly sort of political maneuvering and verbal fencing, gives so much more texture to the setting.

Anriku

It definitely seems that way. Kind of the vibe I was getting when they were talking about crowned berries cake.
