The reason why we don’t see the father’s face is so he can be looked like a typical galgame MC, the player character who doesn’t have a face so you can insert yourself into him. Also in a series like that, the presence of male characters is minimal if not none, so it’s kinda a inside joke lol. And you’re right, the child singing is a parody to Nausica lmao.
