My penultimate reaction to The Ancient Magus' Bride is here! Only 2 more episodes left before I'm caught up for S2 which airs in the Spring season. We finally get to see some more of Chise's memories and what really went down with her mother. I love that she was able to face herself, her past, and begin moving forward from this! What did you think of these 2 episodes?

Just FYI there are also 6 OVAs for the anime, 3 set in Chise's past, that could be interesting before Season 2 comes around.

I didn't plan on watching those immediately because I've been told they aren't necessary for S2. If I find time, I'll try to squeeze them in, but I'd like to use that time for some other series.

The initial 3 ovas are very good. They give you a lot of insight into chise's mindset, and they are cannon. That said, you could watch s2 without them. They aren't just exposition dumps though, shit goes down.
