I still have my doubts that they didn't tell Will the full story. This was just a story they agreed to make him leave the city as their contract with Stagnate ended? Don't know well everything is still just my own guessing and the story will tell me it's truth at some point. Like they told Will they would be guardians of the seal? But why Stagnate came to take their souls now or should they be soulless undead guarding the seal?

I definitely had some questions at the end too. It felt like something was missing. If the contract is up and they can't leave the area then how does Will running with Blood and Mary help? Unless they can flee because the contract is over and they aren't stuck there anymore.
