Okay, so think about this rationally. The Goddess obviously sides with the humans and Sophia attacked her summon on sight. That's a very clear indication that Sophia's against the Goddess/humans.

Also, another thing people keep missing cause it's animation is that Makoto's spoken language isn't legible to humans. That's why you'll have to get it through context clues. Lancer/Mitsurigi being a superior dragon was the only one who could communicate with Makoto by speech. The adventurer from episode 11 and Sophia from this episode had no idea what Makoto's saying.

Well only one of his faulty rings exploded with that much force, him shooting 6 of those rings with all of his mana would mean Atomic Bomb equal explosion. You were wondering about Tsukiyomi the one that helped Makoto, that god went to sleep for hundreds of years, because his powers is from that god. If you rewatch that scene in episode 1 of him and Makoto talking you will understand again.
