This and episode 3 are my favorite of the series. I need to remember to buy tissues. LMAO! I really enjoyed getting characterization for Iris and getting to see her hometown.

First I haven't watch your reaction because I'm still at the other episodes but going by your description here I will say wait a bit before saying this episode & that episode are your favorites because man you haven't seeing anything just yet. I pretty much said this with episode 3 too then came 4, 5, etc. This show I believe will have a lot of favorite episode by the end of it also there is an ova, & two movies.

Oh you said that your not into slice of life but there is another gorgeous & funny anime from Kyoani called K- On & if you would love to hear some amazing orchestra music then they also make another incredible anime called sound euphonium just so you know of more of their shows
