These were another great pair of episodes from Re:ZERO and I am so ready for whats to come...or am I? This show never gives our poor Suburu a break!

For Episode 10: Satella or Witch of Envy possessed Emilia, Emilia herself witnessed Witch of Envy kill everyone such as Garfiel and stuff and most likely saw Subaru kill himself, thus upon seeing that, Emilia cried and her tears came out through her even though Envy was in control. That’s also why Subaru said “I swear... i will save you.” because why would he save Witch of Envy or Satella, only thing he knows is that Satella is an evil Witch, he has no reason to save her for the suffering he caused him, as of now. To add, he even saw Emilia’s face, obviously cause she’s possessed, and thus is why he said “i’ll save you,” as in “I’ll save you, Emilia.”

Little excerpt from the LN Vol. 12 for Ep.11 (Emilia indeed kissed Subaru right when he died): Then she abruptly smiled, gently bringing her face closer, and— “” —kissed the silent Subaru’s lips. —The taste of her first kiss was the cold taste of death. In LN after the death of Roswaal by the rabbits, Subaru called all copies of the Ryuzus and asked them to defend him until he reached the tomb, some were devoured and exploded killing many rabbits, more than anything because they multiplied in the same second, when he first arrived at the Church to ask everyone to run away, the place was on fire (Subaru said it was like seeing hell), probably Ryuzu realized that the rabbits arrived and knowing that it would be impossible to escape, all the villagers of the sanctuary and of the Irlam village committed "suicide" after Ryuzu used fire magic to kill everyone, after that he went running to where Emilia was with some copies of Ryuzu still protecting him but they weren't enough, when he arrived he was in an extremely regrettable state, Emilia in her crazy State didn't even notice that Subaru was so badly wounded that he was already at the Brink of Death. Following Text is mostly my own Thoughts about what happend in EP.9-11 with Witch of Envy, Emilia etc. Emilia and Satella are different People. They already mentioned in Season 1 that Satella was also an Half Elf with Silver Hair, Purple Eyes etc and thats why People look down on Emillia. In the OVA Frozen Bond we heard a bit of her Past, and she was only born around 115-118 Years before the Story started. Also, Satella is sealed away somewhere because the Strongest People and Creature couldnt kill the Witch of Envy ( A Sage, a Dragon and a Sword Saint) What we saw in Episode 9 and 10 during that one Loop was Emilia who was used by the Witch of Envys Power as an Medium. She was swallowed by the Shadows and since she is apparently from some Sort of Distinct Bloodline like the one where Satella came from, she could use her Body since she herself is Sealed and only a Portion of her Power can somehow leak out. Whats more, if Emillia would be " Satella", everyone with keen Noses would already said something about the " Witches Scent" that we sometimes hear People say to Subaru. Emilia would so much "Stink" after her that no Demi Human would come near her and People like Rem, Ram for example wouldnt work in Roswaals Mansion. But in this Episode, her Eyes looked Suspicius, but like Roswaal mentioned and People who read the Light Novels, its apparently the typical Way of Anime to show that something happend to them ( in Emilias Case, that she lost her Sanity, since Subaru wasnt there for her, Puck dont shows up and no one else in that World stands behind her. Roswaal mentioned that she is Emotionally unstable and we also saw that in the Frozen Bond OVA a bit.) Another 2 Ways to see that Emilia is still herself and not possesed:You didn't hear one "aishteru" as the Witch of Envy said ( Instead Emilia said Daisuki) and 2. at the end she said that she wants him to only care for her but she also likes the Subaru that looks out for others; and the Witch of Envy would never accept that compromise. Otherwise, about who Roswaal is, the Witch of Envy etc.. the Light Novels already gave some Answers to all this, but it will mostly be answered in the 2nd Half of Season 2 that will be airing in January 2021, and since i dont read the LN or everything on that Wiki Side, some Things might be Speculations from my Part.

I'm so convinced Emilia is Satella from a future in which emilia completely broke. I don't think Satella just randomly loves Subaru, she acts as if he precious to her, so i assume shes known him at one point. I would have to assume time-travel is involved though lol. Because Satella is someone from the past, but the magic seems to extend to things like time because subaru's ability so I think its very possible.

It definitely is strange how obsessed Satella is with him consider they never met or we believe they never did. I could see time travel being involved in some way.
