I think Misturugi (the reincarnated guy with the cursed sword) never found back his sword after Kazuma sold it, that's why he was mining rock: he is doing manual labor just like Kazuma in episode 1.

Cursed Sword Gram was way too expensive for Kyouya to buy back from the pawn shop, so he has to resort to manual labor to remake enough funds to buy it, so there's no way he could have helped the Destroyer situation xD
