Gotta love that Lord Ainz has been using this whole opportunity to experiment and see how much the (formerly) NPC Guardians can go against their preset nature and think for themselves, essentially testing to see if these "very real" characters have room for growth, starting it all off with Nazarick's first campaign as the testing grounds for the Warrior Cocytus.

Gotta say, as noticeable as the CGI was, it wasn't actually terrible to watch. Honestly, I'd /prefer/ not having CGI but sometimes it can't be helped, as it is easier to manage than drawing dozens and dozens of lizardmen/skeletons, plus I've seen enough CGI to truly differentiate "noticeable" from "downright awful" Lol

So I'm sure you're aware of this by now, but Cocytus was praising both the Elder Lich and the Lizard Men with his "Nicely done," comment as both sides fought extremely hard, but it feels more emphasized towards the Lizard Men tribes since they proved themselves and their strength by exceeding their expectations. And the "But that was truly a close one," comment was more of Cocytus referring to the fact that the entire final fight with the Elder Lich was an exceedingly difficult task for the Lizard Men, as victory was barely grasped before Zaryusu died via strangulation.
