[NEWS] Progress updates (Patreon)

Hey all. Just wanted to give you an update on progress of the stories. I'm chugging away at the Leia one and I'm exploring some interesting ideas and approaches. One thing about writing though, especially in this genre, is that there are multiple ways of approaching a scenario. You want to get the characters to arrive at a destination, figuratively speaking, and so I'll spend a while going down one path, to see how it plays. But then after a while I realize maybe that's not the best path. Maybe that other idea I had would be better. So I try that one instead and as a result, have to ditch a few pages of work. That's happened a few times with this chapter, and it's fine and interesting. That's how I learn about the characters, really, is writing stuff that doesn't work, or just isn't good enough. I find their 'voice' by making them do and say stuff I realize they wouldn't do. Sort of honing in on them I guess. Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
