Marlin 1.1.0-RC1 has been out for a little while now, ready for public testing and your feedback. There are many improvements that should make your printing experience with Marlin a lot smoother. A lot of changes have been made since 1.0.2, so there are probably some outstanding issues, but I expect them to be relatively minor.

Over the last couple of months I have done my best to restrain the team from rushing this release to allow as much testing and bug-fixing as possible, and to write up some documentation for the release, but some of the team members were anxious to get it out now. So, it is what it is!

I will continue to improve the code and fix bugs for the next release candidate (RC2), document the changes at marlinfirmware.org, and do my utmost to provide a pleasant upgrade experience. I have an interesting gig modifying Marlin for a "top secret" project in Holland. I can't say any more now, but I will tell you about it as soon as I'm permitted.
