Prusa i3 Tuned and WINNING

SmartLCD Case at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:80065 I got the new TORLON nozzle today, wired it up, and got printing right away. If you've never heard of TORLON, it's the Tiger Blood and Adonis DNA of insulation materials for hot-ends. I have no idea if it affects printing but this nozzle is really impressing me right now. Of course the way things have been going up till now I'm just impressed to see a real part appearing on the bed without one intervention. It's not the Prusa's fault. Our last nozzle had major leaking and before that there were many other pitfalls, so this is really the first time I've had this RepRap tuned and capable of printing at this rate and up to this height, around 60mm. Tall Tornado next I suppose! This Prusa i3 Mendel (SeeMeCNC improved single plate frame) can be seen performing great here at the Slic3r default speed values (60mm/s | 130mm/s) and we're sure it could easily surpass them. We have new motors on their way with lower current and more torque. I got 24V 12A bipolar motors and have been using them as unipolar 12V 6A. I don't know if you can tell from the video. We're planning to play with some different extruders, possibly starting with a Bowden conversion, with definite thought towards a second nozzle for extra colors, support material, etc. PVA looks very promising. UPDATE: I built and installed a direct-drive extruder to replace the big Wade we originally used. Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muCdhuxRdXA
