Another day in the workshop, today printing some new parts for The mostly finished Vola DeltaBot 3D printer, which has a minimal OpenBeam construction. The Vo has been tweaking, while the La has been printing, and we expect it to be rolling around and extruding very shortly. The Compact Extraptor V2 is working well, with the motor tuned to "warm" and the "Raptor" gear replaced with the standard MK7 gear. (Hmm, need a new name.) Comparing the two I would have to give the MK7 a higher recommendation for these direct drive extruders. Both gears benefit from a little extra "hobbing" with an M3 drill tap, especially the Raptor. Meanwhile I've made a lot of progress on the WebGL DeltaBot Calculator, implemented with the awesome three.js Javascript library. This runs in your WebGL enabled web browser.
