As part of an ongoing exercise in game design practice and exploring the intricacies of the PbtA engine and how it intersects with traditional game design, I've been working on a series of hacks to run classic World of Darkness games using an Apocalypse World-style ruleset. This post exists to collect those hacks in one easy-to-reference location.

Currently supported games include: Vampire: the Masquerade, Vampire: the Dark Ages, Kindred of the East, Kindred of the Ebony Kingdom, Mage: the Ascension, and Mage: the Sorcerers Crusade.

The World of Darkness is currently the property of Paradox Interactive.

The Apocalypse World engine belongs to D. Vincent Baker.

Credit should also be given to Avery Alder, Adam Koebel, Sage LaTorra, Chris Clouser, Tanner Yea, and pretty much everyone working with the PbtA engine right now for various mechanical bits and bobs that ended up in these hacks.

This is a public post, and anyone is welcome to download, play, or further tinker with these hacks so long as no money is made off of them.

Nice to see this. I'm testing right now a Werewolf: the Apocalypse's hack. I think we can share knowledge about this soon. ^^

Boy would I love to hear more about that! I'm currently sitting here plugging away at my own attempt, for my gaming table and friends, and would be so very happy to NOT re-invent the wheel :)

These have been a god-send! I don't suppose you've done anything with Werewolf? I'm doing my best, but I keep hitting a wall with Soaking damage, Regeneration, the 5 forms, Breed forms...and I haven't even looked very hard yet at Rage, Willpower, etc.
