For this week's patron update, we've got another playbook: The Thing.

The Thing is angsty, angry, unnerving, and perhaps even undeserving of its lot. But since when has what we've deserved determined who we are?

The Thing is the game's premiere slugger: it dishes out a lot of damage, and it can tank its way through a lot of damage. You get to define its relationship with death, as well-- do you want to be functionally unkillable, or somewhat less eternal that than but better able to stay up and active in a long-haul battle?

It also makes for a good 'buddy' playbook to attach to another player.

Yeah, I could imagine this one going well with the Surgeon. Being able to take an indefinite number of Crippling wounds instead of dying and then having the Surgeon patch them back up sounds like a good emergency strategy....except for the question of where they’re getting the raw material.

This might be bias on my part or just a factor of the recent playbooks you’ve shown us, but I feel like I’ve seen a bunch of “trade movement to hit harder” powers and I guess it’s gotten me wondering just how good movement is supposed to be. Could you have

Could you have someone whose powers required them to move a whole bunch or is it just assumed that the Monster will be moving a lot and so powers that root you in place aren’t going to be useful all the time? (Hit the enter button by accident)
