Good news (or bad news, if you’re an arachnophobe..) Deep Look has greenlit an episode on Orb Weaver spiders! They’re also known as European garden spiders or pumpkin spiders, and are commonly found in Bay Area gardens.

They’re characteristically non-aggressive, because they’ll flee at the first sign of danger by running away and sometimes even dropping from their webs. You might even find them helpful – they catch and eat lots of pests.
