Status Update 4th November 2019 (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

     Well this has been  kind of a rollercoaster year. My original plan this year was to go to Anthrocon for the first time ever.  I planned on doing several pieces of work to gather some extra funds and then come back and work on Patreon rewards after the event was done. And all seemed fine back at AC.

     And then less than a week after the whole thing went to shit basically. With the sudden and unexpected announcement that the Katbox was closing and every single comic creator had to relocate we were thrown a wrench on everything.

     The following months we basically spent trying to relocate and help some of the people find new hosting servers.  Some of us ended up creating new hosting sites from scratch and other sites that were not meant to host comic had to be reengineered from the bottom up to actually fit the job. It was a mess and we had to everything on short notice since the Katbox is closing for good this year. We are still having authors with homeless comics which i feel responsible for no real reason to be honest...

     Making new assets for the websites, troubleshooting, trying to learn new ways to post content, customizing the comic sites, trying to spread the word of the new hosting sites. All of that was very time consuming and honestly harder than i thought it would be (as well as expensive).

     We also had to start from scratch on getting the audience back since not everyone knew of the incident and well... It has been a huge mess and time sink. My other problem is that by focusing on keeping the webcomics (not only mine, mind you, but a lot of others that were hosted at The Katbox) i left Patreon rewards unattended. I want to apologize for this but i also want to set it clear.

     November has finally quieted down for pretty much every front (i already had planned stuff for October from the previous year and then i stupidly made a fissure on my left foot). And i have been working on a steady pace of at least 2 to 3 Patreon images per day since the weekend and i am keeping that pace until i am done hopefully before December hits.

     I already spoke with some of my Patrons about the situation and some have offered to help lessen the burden by switching several of the minor rewards for a big fully rendered complete picture of their character's choice. I am very grateful to those that came with the idea and i am willing to offer the same deal to anyone that feels like doing so. If you rather keep the other rewards you are free to do so and i will be working on them also this month. For the highest tier Patrons there is no change, i am slowly chipping away at their fully colored and shaded requests these days.

    I just got off from a call with Nekonny about how to help support and manage Kemono Cafe, and i think i need to do the same with Skidd and Phuufy for Studio Khimera.  If you have been following the news i decided to be hosted on both sites since i didn't want to lose touch with friends. So i still got more stuff to do with the new sites. Might have bitten more than i could chew.
