Distracting the Enemy (Patreon)

This art was done as a Patreon request from Emil. A picture featuring Toyohisa Shimazu and Naotora Ii, specifically in their appearance from the Samurai Warriors and Warriors Orochi series.

In regards to the actual events taking place in the picture, it's a parody of the games themselves, since I have played them. Often times in these games, you will do light-hearted side-missions, where characters will do something simple like, for example, a guy having a friendly sparring session with their pal. But then in these light-hearted missions you are still slaughtering thousands of random footsoldiers who definitely did NOT sign-up to have their lives thrown away on an adventure to find the best tasting meat or whatever the hell is going on in the mission. And I always found that juxtaposition to be funny as hell.

So I based this picture around that. Kinda prodding fun at the game I enjoy, and how often the game will have these light-hearted events and missions, just casually backgrounded by thousands of troops getting mowed down by near super-powered warriors.
