There is a vote currently on Discord to choose Riley's new aspect. If you haven't seen it yet, go check it out! While most votes will be Patreon exclusives, this vote was for the whole Carousel community. Aspects affect which tropes are awarded and also provide saving throw bonuses. Aspect choice can affect Advance Archetype availability later on.

Critic: This aspect represents a character's ability to analyze and critique films. A character embodying this aspect could be a renowned film critic, using their analytical skills to understand the underlying mechanics of the storyline and provide valuable insights that can influence the course of the game if they can survive long enough to use them. Despite their physical fragility, they have strong Insight tropes and high Savvy, reflecting their intellectual prowess and deep understanding of film. Their insights will help find interesting new paths for storylines to travel.

Fanatic: This aspect encapsulates a character's passion and extensive knowledge of movies. They are horror movie superfans. Their higher Mettle is due to their intense enthusiasm and the adrenaline rush they experience when immersed in their dream movie scenarios, making them adaptable and formidable in combat, though they tend to burn brightly and then burn out. Their approach to film is instinctual, as suggested by fewer Insight tropes. Yet, their vast movie-watching experience equips them with unique, situational meta abilities.

Filmmaker: This aspect represents a character's comprehensive understanding of the filmmaking process. A character embodying this aspect could be an indie film director, using their wide variety of skills related to the meta of moviemaking to manipulate the game environment effectively. Their abilities are a mixture of meta Insight and meta Rule tropes, allowing them to alter the game's dynamics in subtle but impactful ways. They have higher Hustle, reflecting their ability to stay out of the way, stay alive, and remain unseen as they manipulate meta movie elements.
