The Update™️ -- December 2023 (with a look into 2024) (Patreon)

Hey hey. I have a handful of announcements about both my upcoming projects and changes (kinda) coming to the page itself. Figured I might as well cover both at the same time 🤔

deviantArt Subscriptions

deviantArt has been offering a Patreon-type "subscription" service for the past year-ish. I didn't really give it much thought... until they began accepting Paypal as a payment processer. Proceeded to ask my dA watchers and there seems to be some interest. So, I'll give it a try.

Firstly, I should mention that if you are already pledged here, you do not need to subscribe on deviantArt! My intention with deviantArt is for it to provide an alternative, not replace Patreon outright. That is to say, the pricing is slightly different there, so maybe you'll be interested in choosing one or the other.

• $4 -- WIPs, alts/extras (similar to the $5 tier here, minus polls)
• $8 -- Stems, monthly update posts (similar to the $10 tier here, minus character submissions for polls)

Subject to change later on, but these are the two tiers I'm going with for the time being. Much like the Patreon you're reading this on, money pledged on dA will go to me paying VAs, commissioning artists for cover art, and even less-flashy stuff like the occasional editing software purchase.

Basically, deviantArt subscriptions are for people who want updates on audios/comic dubs/other content without the whole Waifu Warz etc etc poll thing. This was partially influenced by a questionnaire I did here some months back (wherein the general consensus was "yeah I'm here for the content" which is definitely understandable), and also the fact that dA doesn't offer subscriber-only polls. :V

They'll be going live in January, likely on the 1st or 2nd.

I put Commissions in a whopping five pairs of sarcasm quotes because it isn't actually like... commission commissions. I won't be accepting money for these. Instead, you write (or otherwise supply) a story and I dub it. You "pay" with your time and effort. I've done this sort of thing more than a few times before, but sometime next month (a little bit after that dA subscription thing) I'll put out a public post for it. Submission form and all that. Y'know... in the same way money-based commissions are done.

Probably will only take one or two, and only those that I feel are close enough to what you all are here for (anime/video game stuff). Maybe OCs. Depends who submits what. Start brainstorming!

Upcoming Projects

My next three uploads will likely be as follows:

• A Dropkick On My Devil! comic dub by Lapiness. You'll see all the WIP material tomorrow (Sunday).
• A Girls Frontline comic by BornToBeEmon that's a real chunker. The DOMD one is ~4 minutes, this one is upward of 7-8 minutes.
• A Junko Enoshima WG audio that I have open literally right now to start working on after writing this post.

After that, probably another couple of popping ones and then I'm gonna try intentionally doing more WG.

(Also: I didn't know where to put this tidbit, but I'll be merging all WIP stuff into one post as opposed to having three "script"/"voicelines"/early ver." posts. Feels more convenient for people scrolling through my page.)

2024

...is the year that I FINALLY get my OCs put together for real this time (real) (not fake) (fact-checked).

Talking behind the scenes, it's been a running "thing" for the past few years that I spend a day or two preparing visual details/references for this cast of characters I have, and then forget about it because I need to edit so-and-so audio or this-and-that video for whoever by whenever. Artists™️ and neglecting their personal projects, name a more iconic duo amirite?

(the cast is basically "what if swell reads was like a big record company in the big city and made pop music. get it guys pop music. get it guys. do u get it").

Currently thinking that sometime within the next couple months, I'll put a public call out there like "HEY who wants to make some reference sheets for $$$". I almost certainly have enough reach at this point to find someone who shares the same vision I do...

I also intend on phasing out Trina as my page's de-facto mascot character. This is primarily due to her wanting said character to be more SFW-oriented. Having it plastered all over an inflation fetish page isn't ideal in that regard.

But once I have proper visual references, I have big plans for them. get it guys big as in-
