It was absolutely wild to see how Snow ended up the way we see him at the time of Katniss. This film provided so much more insight and context into his background and I couldn't help but empathise with him by the end. Enjoy ;)

Loved your reaction! I have just started reading the book, and Suzanne Collins starts with several excerpts on the discussion of nature vs nurture so very interesting that you noticed the points of Dr. Gaul nurturing the monster, and Tigris trying to help with the good part of him. I think this is the type of discussion Suzanne wanted to spark a discussion about. As for the "love" story, I think he was obsessed moreso and his excitement about how captivating she was to mass audience. I do not think he would have ever chosen anyone else over himself. So I'm not sure I'd call that a love story.
