It was absolute torture seeing what the capital was capable of in this film. Was so sad to see the destruction and chaos that only fuelled the rebellion. The end though was just too much. Enjoy :)

Like The Deathly Hallows, they decided to split the last book into two movies rather than try to cram everything into one movie and cut out a lot. You are right also that like The Deathly Hallows, the first movie is setting up everything for the final movie so it’s not as exciting as the first couple movies. In this movie they introduce the guy who had his tongue cut out. I can’t remember his name, but he is an Avox. They mention it very briefly in the movie, but they go into them in much more detail and why they become an Avox if you decide to read the books. In the first movie when Katniss and Peeta arrive at their penthouse, they have an Avox as a servant and Katniss befriends her. There may have been two, but it’s been years since I read the books. Unfortunately, due to time, they completely cut that storyline from the movie. You might see them standing in the background at the penthouse the way servants would and they have white straps around their faces. Ugh… it just breaks my heart more and more every time they showed Peeta looking tortured. Snow certainly figured out the best way to hurt Katniss both physically and mentally by turning Peeta into a weapon against her. The final scene was too much. Imagine having to wait a year or so for the next movie. Even though I had read the books, you never know what they might change or leave out. And I couldn’t put these books down! Reading about the arena is much different than seeing it.

I dunno if you like watching trailers of movies, or rather steer clear of them due to spoilers. But if you do watch them, it could be so fun to see your reaction to the Songbirds and Snakes trailer (the new Hunger Games prequel movie coming out) after you have watched Mockingjay part 2 🐦‍⬛🔥
