These two episodes were hilarious!!! Joey had a fan chase him down and think he's actually the character the plays and phoebe contained the soul of an old woman... like what!?!?! Enjoy :)

People have been talking about how Friends is dated and not "politically correct", and it is in some ways. But the lesbian wedding episode broke barriers when it aired in 1996. It was the third gay marriage on TV and the FIRST lesbian wedding ever on TV. But you can still see how different it is compared to today. They didn't show the ceremony and Carol & Susan didn't even kiss. But again, we have to remember that even in the 90s things were so different. Gay marriage wasn't even legalised in New York until 2011. A fun fact though is that NBC expected a flood of phone complaints for portraying a lesbian wedding but they 'only' received 11 calls. Another fun fact is that the woman officiating the wedding is Candace Gingrich, an LGBT rights activist and sister to conservative Congressman Newt Gingrich. Matthew Perry ad-libbed (as he often did) Chandler throwing water at Joey and saying he forgot to close the toilet lid. You can clearly see Jennifer Aniston can't keep a straight face in that scene. And as a soap fan myself I can tell you that people like Erica really exist. They can't seem to separate the character from the actor. I remember Larry Hagman who played J.R. on Dallas once talked about when someone came up to him on the street and shouted "J.R. how could you do this to Sue Ellen?!" It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Rachel's mom was played by "Marlo Thomas" she is a famous actress who was the daughter of "Danny Thomas" who was a famous actor in his own right who founded the world reknowned hospital "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital" which treats children for Cancer and other illnesses and do not charge the family. Free treatment, lodging for family, and meals while child is treated. Wikipedia has a page on All of them. She starred in a really successful TV comedy series of her own called "That Girl" in the late 60's, early 70's. She is 85 and still alive today. And you MIGHT already know that Erica was played by famous model/actress Brooke Shields. And was GORGEOUS back then. Guy singing with Phoebe at the end is Chris Isaak, he had a well known song "Wicked Game", among others, and did some acting as well. He was in "Silence of the Lambs" actually.
