I really enjoyed the nuance in their friendship and how natural their conflict felt after the events of the first film. Sure, all the internet stuff was fun and creative but the heart of film being centred on the bittersweet process of letting a loved one go so they can be everything you believe they can be was such a rollercoaster of emotions.
