It was really cool to get some insight into Indy's past and not just his phobias but his relationship with his father. Also just the chemistry the Jones's had with each other was a delight. Enjoy :)

It’s 09:30 here in the UK, on a Monday morning and you just made my day uploading this ❤️

'Twas my favorite of the series. The chemistry between Ford and Connery ruled. Really excited to see what you thought, my boy.

Watching through while I’m getting ready for work. Also, yes! You do need to see National Treasure. Both movies are so fun and entertaining!

Love this one! The opening scene is set & filmed near(ish) to where I grew up. The red sand & sandstone always feels like home. 🏜️♥️ If you’re in the mood for movies with a similar feel, I think you might enjoy: • The Mask of Zorro 1998 (& maybe sequel) love it & it has one of my favorite scores. Then there’s also these: • The Princess Bride (If by some miracle you’ve never seen it lol. Although it’s loved enough that it might do well even as just a review instead of a react). • The Legend of Tarzan 2016

I forget allllllll the time that Leo DiCaprio was Indiana Jones.

This is my favorite one out of the franchise. The contrast between Dr. Jones and Indiana plus seeing Sean Connery play something against typecast is great. Plus, that's River Phoenix (Joaquin Phoenix's older brother who was a great actor in his own right) playing Young Indy.

David W Richards

The "young" Indy is Joaquin Phoenix's older brother River who you can also see in "Stand By Me" directed by "When Harry Met Sally" and "Spinal Tap" director Rob Reiner. River was a HUGE box office draw and well on his way to becoming a "legendary" actor when he tragically died from a combination of cocaine and heroin (what's commonly referred to as a "speedball") at just the age of 23 on Halloween 1993. Joaquin got his "start" in acting as a "guest" on an episode of River's musical TV series "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" based on the "classic" Hollywood movie musical from 1954. "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" was based on the short story “The Sobbin' Women” by Pulitzer Prize winning American poet and author Stephen Vincent Benét, which was itself taken from a story in Plutarch's Life of Romulus. The 1954 movie has what IMHO is THE GREATEST DANCE OFF EVER PUT ON FILM including the season 3 premiere episode of "The Umbrella Academy" There was a TV series adaptation of the same story called "Here Come the Brides" which includes in its cast a pre "TV series" (not to be confused or even compared with that crappy pos Ben Stiller movie) Starsky and Hutch star David Soul, Mark Lenard (as the "bad" guy) who had already premiered Sarek Vulcan Ambassador and father of Starship Enterprise's Spock, and one of my favorite male recording artists of the late 1960s/early 1970s Bobby Sherman (can be easily confused with Bobby Goldsboro from the same time frame)

I think i may have discovered a fudge up... when "Hitler" signs the diary, does he not sign the top of the page that is the secret map? even though it's supposedly already been ripped out?

Tara

I haven’t had a chance to watch yet. I’m still at work Monday afternoon in the U.S. so I don’t know if you recognized the great Sean Connery. The original James Bond himself.

Dr. Charlotte

Indi actually chose to be called like that because he wanted to be different from his dad. He chose this nickname because he love his dog. If I remember correctly his dog was actually killed by a snake that's why indi is so afraid of them. Georges Lucas named his character after his own dog (an Alaskan Malamute) on which Chewbacca was based on 😊.

sailor sam.

and now there are no more movies in this series to watch hahahaha they neeever made anymore ahah

I'm pretty sure that in order to utilize the grail's eternal life, one must return constantly to drink and revitalize. the Knight guarding is suppose to guard it from ppl using the cup that way(abusing it's power) since the cup cannot leave the cave, ppl would have to return constantly to stay young. he was waiting for a new knight worthy and brave to replace him to pick up guarding the cup. it's similar to a batman villain Ras Al' gul who lives forever so long as he returns to the Lazarus' pit(another biblical reference) and bathes in the water.

Jim Schmitz

Having seen this, I admit I'm once again impressed with your deductive skills. I figured the Grail mythology would resonate with you, too.

Jim Schmitz

I still have to request you adjust your volume or use subtitles on the movie, otherwise your comments drown out the dialogue.

My favorite lines in the film..."I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne..." "...Let my armies be the rocks and the trees and the birds in the sky..." The characters are just fantastic. Sean Connery was perfect as Indy's dad. My personal favorite non-lead is Sala!!! The valley of the crescent moon wasn't a real crescent, BUT the building is a real place...it is in Petra ( in Jordan )...the building is the Treasury of old Petra. And Indy is named after his dog!!! LOL

Thomas B

From what i can gather in stills, and looking at the prop, AH signs the page titled ‘map of the mountain road’ which is a cross section of the crescent moon valley, not the arial map that Henry drew - similar lines! But it’s the canyon walls

Tom

Trivia. Sean Connery was only 12 years older than Harrison Ford. I wonder who had the job of asking James Bond if he would play Han Solo's dad 😬?
