Dude, you are a god. I already know the basics, but a comprehensive guide will be a lifesaver.... I can't wait to dig into this.

So, when I try to Convert Folder in VTFEdit (for SFM to Blender), it shows it entering the folder i used as input, but exits and does nothing, not sure what Im doing wrong

Gifdoozer

Send me a screencap of the vtfedit log and window :3 we might be able to spot the problem. Maybe its an old version or something. Or maybe you're not exporting in jpg or something.

thanks for your kind words. hope you find it useful. also, if you or anyone find any trouble using the guide or porting any model, feel free to ask me :3

Hot damn! Pretty bad ass guide. I went all the way through it and can't wait to try it out. A suggestion for next guide: genital shape keys from scratch. I've gone in a few times to create functional genitals on models that have the mesh but not the morphs and it usually comes out less than ideal. I'd imagine you have a much more streamlined method for that.

Gifdoozer

i usually use the ones that come with the model, and in case i'm making a new nude model from a base body, i pick one that has the shape keys i want already well done. otherwise, it's just testing and testing and testing until you get a decent result :3 also, proportional editing helps a lot making it smoother

VR AnimeTed

Ha good point. I've gone back and forth between head swaps and editing the model. It's usually faster for me to edit the models genitals than head swap and match the neck/head skintone. Your right though about proportional editing. That made things so much easier when I first started using it. I can used connected and x-mirror to get good results. Though, it can be a pain though when the pelvis, genitals and inner parts are in tons of pieces.
