well guys, i'm preparing a guide that explains how to port a model from xnalara or sfm to blender. explaining how to import them. texturize and apply subsurface scattering. and rigging them. guide will be updated on every progress i make in my future learning, like creating real hair, making head swaps etc. i've managed to do head waps, but without much success

Very useful! I did the nastiest hack job of porting from XNA to Blender for my Reinhardt model, I could use some pro advice.

Awesome idea! I’ve recently been using a basic workflow to convert models from SFM to Blender. While I’ve figured out a decent (but time consuming) way to reapply the textures, I havent yet messed with rigging or blendshapes. I’m also hoping to get to the point where I can standardize a rig and blend shapes to overlay the same animation on multiple characters adjusting for different heights of course.

when will you release a head swap tutorial ?

I learned to import xps modelo to blender but the mesh the vertices are not in squares and I don't know if it's okay to animate them or I don't know if there will be any tutorial on how to remove and make all the mesh in squares.

It's actually really easy. First of all, male sure to sepparate the model in pieces. Like pants, top, jacket, hair, accesories, teeth, tongue etc... When you have it all seppparated the way you want. It's as essy as (remoove doubles first. Or like blender calls it now "merge vertices by distance) and in face selection mode, select all. Press W and choose the tris to quads option. You can do it yourself better than the actual tris to quads settings. But boeas a pretty decent job overall
