OMG. The amount I cried in this episode. It made me incredibly emotional. I don't know how I feel about Belly 'picking' a brother. Even though I've been begging her all season to do so. That said, it was fun and I really enjoyed the friendship vibes. And thank you Laurel for fixing everything (maybe too easily) as we all knew you would.

We all know how this is going to go. The motel scenes are next and then Conrad will be in California while they go to Finch together, belly being one year behind Jere… I need to see how season 3 plays out before I get to upset. But we all saw the darkest days for Conrad from the book, now to see Jere’s worst moments. You can’t keep it real if you don’t make the all good golden retriever, be the partying frat boy who gets jealous at some point of a Conradesque conversation with Belly and does something truly stupid. Belly still has some dark days coming…

I've been burned before on this show, thinking things would go the way I expected them to. That said, I cannot see any other outcome other than Conrad heading off and leaving Belly and Jeremiah to date. Belly's sex life (being vaguish for spoilers) was such a big plot point in the books I don't know how that is going to play out in season 3. Yeah. I have no idea how they are going to play out season 3. Assuming it's remotely close to the book, I agree. All 3 of them have a world of hurt coming. But I don't wanna wait over a year to see it! Boo.

I was wondering that too. I don't know how it would work otherwise. There is zero chance most of S3 isn't still her struggling with the fact that she wants to be with Conrad. Not only is he so important to her, but it's such an important plot point! It's a really good point you make about how important the summer house is to Belly. If/when she reveals to Jere that she lost her virginity to Conrad there, it's going to be a huge issue. But the reverse was true (minus the summer house) in the book, so who knows how it will play out. I agree. I love this adaptation. It was close enough that I wasn't annoyed about how 'none of this was in the book' (minus the weird debutant stuff) but had enough changed that there were surprises. I did not know some copies did not have the letters. They felt like such an important part! How could they be left out of some of them!?! Were they a last-minute addition? I need to know more about this! It's also interesting when things are adaptations. There were three finite books. What happens if this gets renews again? Will they try to stretch out book 3? Or just come up with new stuff in future seasons? I guess if Jenny Han continues to be involved, it'll be okay?
