If you enjoying yelling and ranting, this is the episode for you. I don't even know how to talk about my feelings for this episode.

Julie (and all humans) deserve better.

It is Janeane Garofalo that voices Sally. She was always uncredited on the IMDB site but she talked about doing the voice work in an interview back in the day. Also yeah Felicity the show really hit some major topics that a lot of shows didn't in the late 90s/early 2000s. Rape being one of the major ones. Sadly they did show it more accurately then a lot of other ones. There isn't always full justice. I hated this episode when it first aired because I didn't understand why Julie didn't want to fight more about taking Zack down, however it's now an episode that I think of as a reminder that there is still need for change if we want to see a difference. It pushes to be an advocate for change. Another small detail about this episode, the girl playing Story, the potential student who drove Elena crazy, she helped write this episode. Her name is Riley Weston, and there was a scandal about her because she lied about her age, so as to get the job. She was supposed to be like 19? I think and awarded the youngest writer, but she was actually 32. Sadly she lied because she was dealing with ageism and not getting work, but she got that award, and it was kinda the downfall.

It took me so long to realize that. And her voice is fairly iconic. I'm disappointed in myself. I think for the time period, this was probably the best we could have hoped for. No one (other than Julie herself) blamed her. Everyone was sympathetic to her plight. And they were all mad at Zack, as opposed to her. It really just sucks that it doesn't feel like we made a ton of progress in that area. We've got a lot of #believewomen going on, but I'm not sure how much better it actually is today, especially when almost 50% of women have experienced sexual violence. That was her! I remember this being kind of a big scandal back in the day. I had no idea it was her! I mean, she could totally pass for 19. I totally believed her as a 17-year-old. That said, actors and actresses lie about their age all the time; no one is firing them when people find out. It sucks that we live in a world where we feel like we need to lie in order to have our talent taken seriously.
