This episode felt a little different, tonally. I'm not sure what it was. But as usual, it was incredible. Other than that, stuff is starting to come together. We are halfway through season 3. These episodes go so fast!

There are so many things in the works right now. I don't know which I'm most excited to see play out!

The significance of Grace's death on Tommy's mental state is so significant to the story going forward. Steven Knight the creator said that the name 'Grace' was chosen because it was supposed to symbolise the moment Tommy was given hope through his despair. She was killed because Tommy is never supposed to be happy. I always felt angry at the writer for this comment as i just wanted Tommy to have been happy for ever with Grace and Charlie. You have got the plot absolutely right, all the pieces are falling into place in the story line. Oh the priest ......... Paddy Constantine the actor plays him so well. The hug Tommy gave Arthur when he told him about the baby was just so lovely. Tommy cares so much for his family and I'm sure he just wants the best for Arthur, at the same time he knows this is 'goodbye Arthur' as his righthand man doing the dirty work. The torture scene was intense. 'We are not those sort of men' they have the reputation of torture and vilolence but in reality they have a strict moral code, no women and children get hurt and i don't see them torturing. They punish by killing if someone has wronged them but not in a torturous way. So in Tommy's head he wanted to, but Arthur knew if he had allowed Tommy to do it he wouldn't have felt better. Big brother to the rescue!!! Please Please Please react more regularly LOL...... purely because i love your Peaky reactions.

Oh, that breaks my heart. I want nothing but good things for Tommy. It's interesting to me when I think about him as a character. He's an antihero who I typically think about as being in the same space as Walter White and Tony Soprano. And as much as I rooted for those characters, I don't think I was actively invested in their happiness, per see. I agree with you. I just want Tommy to live a happy, peaceful life. I'm really curious to see how things go down with Arthur and who will end up taking his place. I don't think it's John. He seems a little too eager. He seems like he might end up killing just for the fun of it. My god, Cillian Murphy played that torture scene so well. You could just see all the anguish on his face. And honestly, I wouldn't have blamed him if he went ahead and tortured him. I know Tommy is not innocent here, but I really wanted some vengeance for Grace. I just wrote out a schedule, so I'll be able to get two episodes up a week. I wish it were more, too, because it's so hard to wait to watch the next episodes!
