Okay, I really, really liked this episode. I'm super excited about S4. I don't know if it was that this episode was really good, or I really didn't care for almost all of S3 (besides the last two episodes), but I don't care why. I'm just gonna enjoy it.

So, Sookie ends up living in the fairy realm for over a year (even though she thinks it's only a couple of hours- time moves differently there). While she's been away, Jason sold the house, and everyone thought Bill had killed her. Bill tells everyone she was on some vampire business (a lie which she keeps repeating) in order to cover for her.

Meanwhile, Jason has become a cop, Andy is addicted to V, Lafayette is dealing with the fact that Jesus is a witch, Tara is living as Toni in New Orleans, Jessica Hoyt are having some problems, and Bill is the goddamn King of Louisiana. And that's only a fraction of what's going on.

Turns out Eric bought Sookie's house, as he was the only person who believed she was still alive after all this time. And, for whatever reason, he seems to think that owning her house means that he owns her. Am I missing something here? As much as I'd kind of like for them to be together (I think they have way more chemistry than she and Bill) I don't really get this thought process. But, hey, I'll roll with it.

Both Eric and Bill are trying to clean up the anti-vampire mess Russell made. They are both doing, like, vampire outreach to make their kind seem friendly and amiable to humans. And honestly, I'm kind of with Eric, I probably would rather trust a vampire than a politician. However, we run into a lot of vampires that are in love with Sookie, so they probably seem safer than they actually are.

I'm pretty pissed at Jesus. Lafayette could not be making it any clearer that he doesn't want to be involved in this. And yet, Jesus keeps pushing him. Dude. Let this guy set and keep his own boundaries. Thank you.

And what is going on with Tommy and Hoyt's mother (that is Hoyt's mother, right?) It feels like they managed to come up with this odd relationship. Hoyt has left his mother and she needs a son, and Tommy has left his family and he needs a mom, so they came up with this. Am I reading that correctly?

Oh, and also, Jason has been taking care of things in HotShot while Crystal has been gone. But, for whatever reason this time, when she shows up to drop off some food, they trick him and lock him in a freezer. What? Why would you try to kill the person who's been trying to keep you alive for a year? I'm guessing maybe Crystal and the dude are back and he threatened them into taking out Jason. Maybe?
