9-1-1 6X12: Recovery (Patreon)

You guys, this episode really got to me. I spent a lot of my youth in meetings. And, for whatever reason, with this episode being kind of focused around that, it opened up some old wounds. My dad was in and out of recovery my whole childhood. He lost his battle when I was 18. I cry a ton in this reaction. And a lot at things that aren't really tear worthy. Sorry about it.
So Bobby and Athena are finally trying to get to the bottom of this shady recover center. Bobby thinks his best chance is Tamara, the girl who May tried to befriend. Turns out, she's sort of receptive toward him and in their first meeting, she tells him a bunch of sketchy stuff about the center.
Later, Bobby is at home cooking and she calls him. He can tell she's high and she's saying odd stuff. So Bobby being Bobby, heads over there to rescue her. Once he gets there, they won't let him in (of course), so he punches out the husband and runs through the building trying to find her. Eventually, he does, but she's super high and can't really help herself. But, she does tell him that this is the room where people die. She tries to help him as best she can with info, but she's so out of it. Bobby realizes that building is on fire, and drags/carries her out of there.
Once they get out, an ambulance is already there. (They called 9-1-1 on Bobby after he punched the dude). He deposits her there and is then fingered for setting the fire. He's quickly arrested and brought to the police station.
The detective tells him he's got a basically open and shut case against him. But, she thinks it's too easy and something is probably amiss. He uses his phone call to call Athena. She and the detective go to see Tamara in the hospital and she spills all the messy details on the center. How Wendell died, how others have died, how they forced her to call Bobby for help to trick him into dying. The two of them are a piece of fucking work. I'm not sure I've ever been happier for two assholes to get arrested before.
While all this is going on, Buck is trying to recover from this injury. However, Maddie is sending people around at regular intervals to make sure he's okay. Mean, he doesn't actually get any rest. Eventually, he bails and goes over to Eddie's where he finally manages to get some peace. And sleep.
