Am I the only one who didn't realize that Matt's gambling was an addiction and not a hobby? I guess because he was winning, it didn't really seem like a big deal.

I hate that they made me sort of feel bad for Dani in this episode. Not bad enough, since after Kris saved her from being assaulted by asshole bookie, she went out of her way to tell Kris that doesn't make them friends (liker Kris would ever want to be friends with you). She was so much easier when she was all 'bad' character. Lol.

Wildfire is still slow, but Henry figures out it's because he's too smart and realizes they trainings are just that. Trainings and not races. So they simulate a real race and Wildfire cuts, like, 5 seconds off this time. No wonder Kris fell in love with this horse, he's a genious.

So, Kris feelings guilty about the fact that Wildfire bumped into Crude (I forgot the first part of that horses name, but I'm pretty sure it starts with a vowel). She ended up getting another job in order to help try to pay for his medication. Plus, he needs surgery that the absolutely cannot afford. When she tries to give the money she earned (after basically getting fired immediately for sort of bullshit reasons) to Jean, she refuses it and tells Kris that's not how it works. She pays Kris, not the other way around.

And the problems continue for the farm. To make matters worse, they ow 80K in back taxes. Which means, they are selling (maybe? I didn't 100% understand this) Wildfire. Kris kind of loses her mind and begs Jean to give her more time to get Wildfire ready to race, but Jean tells them it's the best thing to do. She's looking out for the family, the farm, and Kris. If the farm goes under, they all lose.
