Oh, god, this was a hard episode to watch. If we didn't get those bits of Claire sort of daydreaming when she was out of it, I'm not sure I would have made it.

So because Claire is not the kind of woman that likes, he decides that the best course of action is to distract her husband so he can kidnap her? And then arrange for all of the men with him to rape her repeatedly? What is this insanity? It's hard to remember how absolutely abysmal it was for women during that time. Especially since, you know, it's not all that great right now.

But fuck that asshole. And how fucking dare he have the fucking balls to ask Claire to tell Jamie not to kill him. Is he fucking serious? What kind of person must you be to beg for that?

However, Marsali was not about to let Ma go unavenged. Marsali FTW. Claire may live by an oath, but Marsali, not so much. That was a goddamn delight. I do really hope it doesn't mess up Marsali though. I don't want this to ruin her.

Also, watching Claire try to keep herself from getting so upset about this, by reasoning that this isn't any worse than the other zillions of horrible things that have happened to her was sad. Both because she's had to endure so much, but also because, she's allowed to feel like shit about this. It was fucking traumatic.

I guess Brianna and Roger are here to stay. The stones decided for them that home was here.
