You could have given me a zillion guesses, and I would not have come up with this solution. Using Mount Weather tech to make Clarke a Night Blood so she could take the Flame, brilliant.

So, with Clarke having both the Flame and the chip, she's able to go into the City of Light, while still retaining her own mind. Lexa shows up (I think because technically Clarke is now the Commander and they have the thoughts/memories of all the previous ones?) and helps her through. Raven uses her hacking skills to get Clarke into the room with the kill switch.

Once in there, though, she's greeted by both Allie and Becca. Allie tells her not to pull the switch because the City of Light was created as a safe place for everyone to go because we've only got six months before the radiation kills everyone. Clarke spends a crazy amount of time deciding whether or not to pull the switch (not that I blame her, it's a hard decision), before eventually deciding that they will all find another way to save themselves. She flips the switch, and everyone is back to normal (and in pain!).

While this is happening, Abby; Bellamy, Octavia; Pike; Kane; and some others, have been keeping Clarke safe and holding back the hordes of Grounders who want to kill her. Once everyone has there memory back, Octavia and Pike share a look. I thought that was going to mean, I still hate you, but I grudgingly respect you. Instead, Octavia straight up kills Pike and heads out.

Clarke tells Bellamy the truth, that they haven't actually saved the world. Now they have to figure out how to stop a nuclear meltdown that's going to kill them all in six months.

Holy hell. This was one of the best seasons of TV I've watched in a while. And this episode was as good as the rest. It was so stressful!

Allie got on Luna's rig by chipping some of her people. Right before we see Allie and before Luna locks Bellamy, Octavia, and Clarke in the shipping container some of Luna's people get out of the container because they're just returning from shore. Those people have been chipped and start the chaos on the rig. Bellamy just assumes the drone followed them but whether Allie found the rig through a drone or lucked out with who she chipped, we don't get confirmation. At least I don't remember if we did get confirmation one way or the other. You're right about Lexa in the flame. Lexa talked about how the other commanders from the past would talk to her in dreams. My science is sketchy here but basically once you've taken the flame, your consciousness is in it even after you die, like the city of light I think. Science is sketchy but that is the reasoning. Another lever for Clarke to pull this season and it's an even bigger number of people affected and more extreme consequences. Bellamy and Clarke's little moments in this episode make me happy, like Clarke's hand shake to be like 'hold my hand' while she takes the flame and Clarke telling Bellamy first so they can tackle the problem together. I got surprisingly attached to their dynamic in S1 and S2 so I missed it in S3 and it's nice to see it coming back. Murphy has come so unbelievably far. Like this is the guy who peed on someone, tried to kill a little girl, shot Raven, and tried to hang Bellamy. I feel like the last few episodes of the season really just show how far he's come in the sense that he had so many opportunities to run and save himself but he wouldn't leave Clarke in Polis and he kept coming back to help everyone fight Allie to the point where he's pumping a literal heart in his hands.
