While I did like this episode, I had some problems with it. I feel like both Buck and Maddie got off to easily for what they did. It should have been at least another episode before Buck was completely let off the hook. And Maddie should absolutely been suspended, if not fired out right. I don't really want either of these things for the two of them, but realistically, I think they would be warranted.

I did not think the end of this episode was going to go this way. I really thought when Buck ended up in the hospital he was going to tell Bobby that he (Bobby) was right and that Buck wasn't ready to come back. I also thought that Bobby was gonna have him transferred after his conversation with Hen.

And what happened to the party at Athena's house? I don't think they ever went back to it.

Also, I wasn't a huge fan of most of the emergency calls this episode. Well, I did really like Athena finding all those kids in the basement, but that was sort of only tangentially related to a 9-1-1 call.

Not sure Buck got off easily. He was blown up by a bomb due to an issue that stemmed directly from an interaction with the guy who was blocking his return to the job. I feel like Bobby was in the wrong on this one. And while the interview portion was really uncomfortable, I think it showed that Bobby was biased against Buck because of his own personal issues. I love Bobby but I do think there are times that he justifies instead of empathizes if that makes sense. But, I’m definitely glad we are officially out of the lawsuit era lol.

exactly! the fact that buck would have gotten a settlement proves he was being treated differently. it’s like hen implies in this episode, bobby is overprotective of him because he sees him like a son so he was being biased in his assessment of the situation. i wouldn’t say buck got off easy because it shouldn’t have even gotten to this point. but yes thank goodness the lawsuit arc is over.

9-1-1’s strength and weakness both is its inability to draw out storylines for long. they always last just a few episodes which is good for the frustrating ones but not so good for the exciting ones. sometimes i do wish they would explore more of the aftermath of things but alas. that said, the show is pretty good at finding ways to bring up something from seasons before that you figure they forgot about and it hitting you in the feels so there’s a balance.
