Did we know that Matt's mother was alive? I cannot remember. But either way, it looks like Matt is now an emancipated minor. Which is good for right now, but probably won't be next year when he wants to go to college.

When I started watching this show, I would never have believed that the mayor would show up and tell the school principal to spend more money on a TV than on educating the student. But now, after living in Dillion for two plus seasons, I totally believe it. I have a feeling that Eric is gonna show up at the meeting in two weeks and be on Tami's side.

I don't know how I feel about Tyra in this episode. I'm conflicted about whether or not she should be owning this. I think it's fine if she wants to use her sexuality and own it, but I don't think that's what's happening here. I think she feels bad about going down this route. I know she's feeling like this is all anybody expects from her, but I don't think she feels that way.

That scene where the whole team shows up to play with Smash was lovely. And then Eric managed to get him a tryout (I think that's what a walk on is for college football), and my god that house was excited. And so was I.

I think we knew she was alive but just left Matt and his dad. Glad Matt and Julie are finally talking again after that whole Swede situation

I was definitely not paying enough attention then. Sigh. Agreed. I like Matt and Julie. I prefer them as friends, but I'd be fine if they got back together.
