Heads up: HBO ended this episode and tried to start the next one before this one was actually over, which means there is a bit of an edit in the middle. What is going on with HBO lately? Sorry about that.

We're getting college flashbacks! Huzzah! AND WE GOT WHITEY!

I knew that ring was for Peyton and not Lindsay. But she's totally gonna find it and it's gonna be a mess. However, as much as I think Lucas and Peyton should be together, him proposing at 19 was not the move. And I think she was justified in saying, 'I'm not saying no, I'm just saying not now.' It's kind of Luke's fault for not talking to her about it before he bought a ring and tried to propose. That said, I totally think they are gonna be end game, but they really needed to figure themselves out beforehand. I'm not quite sure we're there yet, but I think we're close.

That book offer came at the perfect time for a rebound. I'm getting the sense that people like Lindsay, but Luke literally broke up with Peyton the day she called him. I don't know. Plus, it feels like he's been trying too hard to prove that he really loves her.

Ha. The scene where Brooke's mom thinks Lucas is proposing is a delight. Anything to take Victoria down a couple of notches, right?

Lucas' words during the proposal were honestly beautiful but Peyton was right. However, I think she was afraid too because what is the point of waiting another year ? The thing is that Lucas is not making the situation easier. It is all or nothing. And Lucas and Peyton's break-ups never feel total... It's always unfinished business.

I don't disagree. But honestly, I do want them to end up together, so I'm hoping they make it work out. It's odd for Lucas because it feels like he's both trying to propose because of the conversation with Whitey, but also because he's afraid he and Peyton haven't been as close as they used to be. Neither is really a reason to propose. But, like you said, will a year really make a difference? Married at 19 vs 20 probably means nothing. Ugh. I'm so conflicted!

Love this college flashback episode for The Scott Family. NHJ+L is always golden...and throw in Whitey for good measure and it elevates things into another stratosphere. I was so excited for you to watch this one Dana so you could put away your doubts and fears on how Naley were going to manage in college with a baby in tow, hehe. Now you know that between each other, Lucas, Whitey I'm sure from time to time, and Grandma Deb who I'm sure made frequent trips to visit her grandson and babysit at the drop of a hat...they made it work just fine. I'm sure it wasn't always easy, but unless Nathan/Lucas were away at games that Haley and Jamie couldn't attend because of maybe Haley's schedule, the family were together a lot. Nathan's family means everything to him, and we have no reason to believe that he wasn't a present husband and father during the college years, spending as much time with his wife and son as humanly possible. As for this episode...I love seeing the first Cobra's championship that Whitey coached and then appointed Lucas as coach at the end of the game, and then we learned that Lucas continued coaching Nathan for the next year as well. Plus we got to see Nathan star on the basketball court again and play the game he was born to play, and he's such a baller to watch as well. And we also got such sweet family moments between the brothers, Haley/Lucas/Jamie, and of course the best family in NHJ. Their living room scene where they're each trying to coax Jamie to say "ball" and guitar" respectively is hilarious and oh so perfect. I wouldn't expect anything less from those three and Haley and Jamie all piling on Nathan at the end.... swoon worthy for sure. Naley are meant to be parents.... they flourish in those roles, and it's always a joy to watch. Baby Jamie flashbacks are a must, lol!!! And yay for the present day Naley kiss at the end...it's been a long time coming this season, and you could feel all the want and longing in that kiss for the both of them!!! And we finally got to learn what happened between Lucas and Peyton and why they broke up, and that's so typical of Lucas to want all or nothing and run away because he didn't get the answer he wanted right then. Getting married at 19 when the two of them couldn't have been any further apart both personally and professionally certainly wasn't the right answer. Deep down, I think Lucas had to have known it...but he was just too stubborn to see what was right in front of him. So now we know how and why him, and Lindsey got started, and it's been 3 years since their relationship has been building, so the plot continues to thicken, lol, but then again it always does where Lucas and relationships are concerned. And Victoria is most definitely Dan 2.0.....and all I can say is you just wait, lol.
